HERE'S HOW IT WORKS...
STEP #1Ā
FILL OUT INTAKE FORMS AND COMPLETE RATING SCALES
Give me all the details! My intake forms will make sure we leave no stone unturned and no questions unanswered.
Ā This step is essential for a quality report.
STEP #2Ā
MEET FOR THE EVALUATION
Conveniently meet with me in-person (Los Angeles) or online to complete the comprehensive dyslexia evaluation.Ā The entire evaluation takes between 60-90 minutes.Ā
Testing is appropriate for children ages 5.0+.
STEP #3Ā
ATTEND THE FOLLOW-UP CONSULTATION
Approximately 2 weeks after the evaluation, we will have a meeting. You will receive a comprehensive report including results, diagnosis (if applicable), and treatment recommendations. You can provide this report to the school for the IEP/504 eligibility process.
I will walk you through the report step-by-step in words you understand (no jargon).
This isnāt just an assessment.
What an assessment will really give you isā¦
Clarity and Understanding: By undergoing a dyslexia assessment, youāll gain a deeper understanding of your child's unique learning profile. This clarity can be emotionally reassuring, as it demystifies the struggles your child faces. It will give you answers to questions you may have had for years, reducing anxiety and uncertainty.
Tailored Support: An assessment allows for the development of a personalized intervention plan. This educational benefit ensures that your child receives the specific support they need to overcome their dyslexia-related challenges. With tailored interventions, they can make significant progress in their reading skills and feel more confident about their abilities.
Empowerment and Advocacy: Understanding that your child has dyslexia empowers you to advocate effectively within the school system. Armed with a diagnosis, you can request appropriate accommodations, such as an Individualized Education Program (IEP) or a 504 plan, to ensure your child's educational needs are met. This advocacy not only benefits your child academically but also emotionally, as it helps them feel valued and supported in their educational journey.
You might be thinkingā¦
"I'm concerned that the results might label my child and affect their self-esteem."
or "I canāt afford to get my child assessed for dyslexia.Ā Iāll just wait and see"
BUT HEREāS THE TRUTH OF THE MATTERā¦
>> You're here because you are concerned.
>>Ā Your intuition tells you something is amiss.
>>Ā Not knowing the true nature of the issue could be holding your child back.
Imagine the feeling of finally being free from worry!
Itās time.
TIME TO TAKE CONTROL AND SHOW YOUR STRUGGLING READER WHAT THEYāRE CAPABLE OFā¦
No more waiting for next semester or for next school year.
Now is the time to change the course of your childās life.
We promise, youāll breathe a sigh of relief when you finally get answers and have a plan in place.
